Privacy Policy — ANGRYBOTS (beta)

Last updated: July 19, 2026 · Closed-beta version · Courtesy translation — if anything differs, the Spanish original prevails.

ANGRYBOTS is a 1-versus-1 robot combat game. This policy explains, with no fine print, what data the game handles during the closed beta and why. The short version: we don't ask for your real name or your location; email is optional (only if you want to be able to recover your account on another phone); there are no ads, no purchases, and we don't sell or share data with anyone.

1. What data we collect and why

DataWhat it isWhat it's for
Device identifier A random code the app generates on first launch. It is not the advertising ID, the IMEI, or any manufacturer identifier: it cannot identify you outside the game. It is your account: it keeps your progress (collection, trophies, robots) without asking you to register.
Nickname The name you pick when you start. We recommend not using your real name. Identifying you to your opponent in matches.
Game progress Parts, levels, assembled robots, trophies, in-game currency. Making your account work and persist between sessions.
Email (optional) Only if you choose to link it from the game (ACCOUNT menu). It is verified with a one-time code we send you by email. If you don't link it, the game works exactly the same. Recovering your account if you change phones or lose yours. We use it for nothing else: no advertising, no newsletters, and we don't share it.
Match telemetry For each match: arena, duration, result, robot compositions and whether the opponent was a bot. Balancing the game during the beta (for example, spotting weapons that are too strong or unfair arenas). It is information about the game, not about you.
Technical logs IP address and basic connection data, in the server logs. Security: limiting abuse (request rate limits) and diagnosing outages. They are kept for a short time and are not cross-referenced with anything else.
Crash reports If the app crashes: the error message, the technical trace, the app version and the browser/system model. Anonymous: they carry neither your identifier nor your nickname. Fixing beta bugs. Processed on our own server (no third parties).

2. What we do NOT do

3. Where the data lives

Data is stored on a server managed by us in the European Union (Hetzner, Helsinki — Finland). Backups are stored encrypted at the source (nobody can read them without our key) at Hetzner Online GmbH (Germany), acting as infrastructure provider.

4. For how long

5. Your rights

You can ask us for access, correction or deletion of your account data by writing to info@angry-bots.com (include your nickname or, if you linked it, your email; we will guide you to locate your account). Unlinking your email is part of deletion, and you can also request it on its own. Deletion has its own page with the steps: delete your account. If you delete the app without telling us, your account becomes orphaned and will eventually be removed with the beta cleanup. You can also lodge a complaint with the Spanish Data Protection Agency (aepd.es).

6. Minors

The game is rated for ages 10 and up. We don't require real personal data from anyone: no mandatory registration and no real name; an email only exists if the player chooses to link one to be able to recover their account. If you are a parent or guardian and have questions about a minor's account, write to us.

7. Changes

If this policy changes (for example, when the game leaves beta or purchases are added), we will update this page and the date above. Important changes will be announced inside the game.
